Shadow Shot Sunday-Shadows Deepen

Long shadows deepen
Sun's glow fading nightfall comes
Earth's time to slumber

Great shadow shots for the day, Mickie! I love the deep, dark and rather mysterious shadows -- but then I have an overactive imagination!! Hope your weekend is going well!

As night comes on and shadows deepen, otherworldly creatures creep out to greet unwary travelers...

SOME SAY THAT SHADOWS

Some say that shadows are fragments of light,
Others that they are but pieces of night,
Fleeing like demons when dawn becomes day,
Fearing the radiance coming their way.
Is one notion wrong and one notion right?
Just what are shadows if they are not light?

There's a very mysterious feel to these shots. I like the seeds from the sycamore in the first, the little balls capture your attention.

The last deep, dark shadows before twilight - one of my favorite parts of the day. Nice!

Hi Mickey! Those are very mysterious ShadowShots. I love 'em! What kind of tree is on your masthead? Are they apple blossoms and if so, is that a current photo?? Happy SSS!

The tiniest amount of available daylight seems as if it would be the end of daily shadows. Not at all, the shadows may be faint, but still true shadows! The embers of the sun are a deep orange hue, as beautiful as a dying fire. So nicely captured!

The world's a shadow at twilight. To live and pass between light and dark is a gift indeed.
