Wonderful shot, Mickie! I haven't seen a bougainvillea before-at least, not one with its name attached! It is gorgeous! (I've never tried to spell it before, either- I'm glad you did!)

Beautiful macro shot Mickie. In the Philippines we used to make Bougainvillea shrub as a fence because of the thorns and in summer they bloom like crazy in different colors. Thanks for sharing this one it remind me of my native country.

Thanks for the visit to my blog... this is an amazing macro of Bougainvillea! (I've tried several times when in warmer climates to photograph these flowers close-up... the little white flower is always "blown out" in my images so I'm very impressed by yours!)
