Bridges- Some Bridge!!!!

Here is the Coronado Bridge linking San Diego and Coronado Island. It is 2.1 miles long and is 200 feet in height. It opened to traffic in 1969.

Spanning tranquil bay
Bustling city peaceful beach
Two worlds linked by steel

That's one long, impressive bridge! It would be quite something to travel over it.

Beautiful shot on this curved bridge. I have been to California but haven't checked this bridge, but i loved the golden bridge san francisco.

Well linked the poem friend :)

It's a long curved bridge. As only long pillars support the steel bridge, it's clean-cut structure. When I drive on it,it must be comfortable.
Thank you for sharing an interesting bridge.
Have a fabulous week.

Perfect Haiku, Mickie. I would never, in a million years or for a million dollars try to go across that bridge. Yikes!

That first photo is quite a shot! Really accentuates the length of that bridge!

Such an elegant and streamlined bridge. Love the first shot with the wake.

I must admit it is an impressive bridge, but not sure I could drive over it and if I were riding over it, I would probably hide my eyes. Not a big fan of driving over bridges. Again, very nice haiku.

Perfect haiku for that bridge! It's amazing when you cross it the difference.

This where we go (on the shore, Seashore village) whenever we want to relax! One and a half hour from my house!

That is an amazing bridge, I can't believe how it is so much of a curve... a masterpiece in civil engineering.
