Mourning Dove

  Quietly waiting
Dove's sharp eye sees all danger
Babies need tending

I love the doves in our back yard, but I've never seen a nest.

Hi there - splendid picture - I like the little catch-light highlight in the doves eye.

I think sometimes are bound to be busy, but when it moves to all the time I think we should stop to find out why!

I love it when I can get a good shot of a bird in a tree. The lush green surrounding the dove is very nice. As always, love the haiku.

I never tire of seeing (and hearing) mourning doves -- we didn't used to have them when we lived in Oregon, but our daughter tells me that they've now moved in and she has them in her yard. Good.
