Coming soon-- lovely iris that will grace spring gardens. By the end of April, I will have a yard filled with these lovely blooms in every color imaginable--can't wait.
I was sitting in the car and looked out to see a reflection in my side mirror of a reflection of a tree on the car window. There was also the reflection of the
little church behind the car. I thought it was worth a picture!
More of "The Chalk Guy"
I didn't take these photos, but I thought they were so unique and original that I wanted to pass them along. Such a talent!!! If you didn't see my previous post, "The Chalk Guy" draws these amazing 3D chalk drawings on the pavement of streets.
It's still winter here and as cold as can be, but even when it warms up these snowmen are "unmeltable". I painted a 6 foot and a 4 foot board white, then added the details. They have "greeted " guests at the door all winter long, but I think it's about time to tuck them away in the basement for the summer.
Two snowmen who lived by the door All the winter greeted guests galore Their job is now through To the basement, "skidoo" Till the winter brings snowfall once more
My First Limerick----Please keep in mind that "first attempts" at anything usually aren't very good, and so it goes with my limerick. Do I get an "A" for effort though !!!!!!
No, Spring is not here yet--but I can dream can't I!! Soon sunlight will filter through green, leafy branches and cast shadows on the warm earth. Flowers will bloom and the air will be scented with a soft fragrance. Soon! Soon! Soon!
Love can be shared in a multitude of ways: A soft caress, a gentle touch A listening ear, an understanding heart A warm smile, a knowing wink A hand always there to hold A tender enfolding enbrace A comfortable silence filled with unspoke words
Share your love in as many ways as you can, with as many people as you can, as often as you can.
Special hearts in my life--a lovely brass ornament heart, a red antique Lalique heart, a clear Lalique necklace heart, and 2 button heart pins made by my daughter when she was in 5th grade for my Valentine's gift--all very special.
These robins may want to "rethink" staying in Kansas next winter.
These robins were out on the pond braving the cold (4 degrees at the time), and literally, skating on thin ice!!! Hope they find a warm place for the night since it will be below zero soon.
