Ruby Tuesday--"Unmeltable Snowmen"

It's still winter here and as cold as can be, but even when it
warms up these snowmen are "unmeltable".  I painted a 6 foot and a 4 foot board white, then added the details.  They have "greeted "  guests at the door all winter long, but I think it's about time to tuck them away in the basement for the summer.

Two snowmen who lived by the door
All the winter greeted guests galore
Their job is now through
To the basement, "skidoo"
Till the winter brings snowfall once more

My First Limerick----Please keep in mind that "first attempts" at anything usually aren't very good, and so it goes with my limerick.
Do I get an "A" for effort though !!!!!!

Those are very cute Mickie and a good thing they won't melt -- spring is on the way I'm sure. BTW, I don't think I could handle the wild weather swings you've been having out their on the plains! (Our son and dil live in Colorado and so they have the same sort of thing).

Your limerick is delightful, as your your snow guys!

A seeker of scarlet, they say,
Is likely to savor the day
If painted in red
Or ruby—instead
Of shades of monotonous grey!

Cool! I was wondering if you could use them as coat racks, for one coat at a time.

Ha! I'm ready to say "skidoo" to winter... You are so creative and they came out nicely. LOVE their noses. You were right, I did come here earlier looking for the limerick. You praise me WAY too much. I have gone back and read a lot of my poems and I can see that many need fine tuning. But I am new at this. Rhyming is a whole new challenge. I have to say thought, that the Tanka's are satisfying... a bit more detailed than quick Haikus.

And I think your poetry with your photos is wonderful.

They are so cute, and you definitely get an A, for both limerick and effort:-)
