Weekend Reflections - "Over the Rainbow"
Upon the pathway
Light dances with the shadows
Rainbow reflection
This is the entrance to the Children's Garden, a new area that just opened in July at the Wichita Botanical Gardens. One may stroll along on the winding path and encounter all sorts of imaginative, interactive, and stimulating designs and activities. A wonderful place to "lose" oneself for the afternoon.

The Weekend In B&W- Tower of Stone
Man's tower rises
High into vast cloudless sky
Reaching for unknown
This building is located in San Antonio, Texas and was build in 1931. It was the first hospital to be a skyscraper. When viewing the building from a certain angle, it creates the illusion that it is a 2 dimensional building. I wasn't quite at the right spot when I took the top photo to get the 2D look, but I thought it was quite beautiful architecture. The photo below is not mine, but it does show you the 2D illusion when you are looking at the building from the right angle.

Weekend Reflections--Perfect Clouds
A perfect reflection of the clouds in this calm, quiet lake. You can feel the stillness and the beauty all around you.
I originally posted this several months ago, but I really like those cloud reflections and thought it was worth another "go round". You may have already "commented" on it, but feel free to do so again.

Weekend in B&W - Planes
The original shot--a dark shadow in a gray, gray sky.
I spiced it up with a little highlighting from Picasa 3
for the first photo.
Below are even more applications from Picasa.
I am totally amazed that I can sit in front of my computer and do all these awesome things to my original photos! Three cheers for technology!!!!
Insignificant
A dot in the universe
Yet we ARE of worth
