You'd have thought the pond was place of solitude for this fish, to get away from it all (including a sea of larger fish), a place to disappear to. THe shadow, alas, just does not care!
Great shadows: shadow of a fish on the bottom and shadow of a fin on the fish. I also like the contrast of illuminated part to the dark part. Stay cool and healthy, Mickie.

Delightful :-)
Very cool photo! I love how the blue flecks are in the shadows too!
Is this one of your intimate friends? :-)
TALKING SHADOWS?
Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?

Shadows abound here and here
I wonder if he even knows he has a constant companion?!
A fascinating, watery shadow from an unusual blue fish!

Lovely haiku, and a very unusual shadow.
Gorgeous. And the thought of not being alone is equally gorgeous.
Very nice shot.
Have a nice weekend :)
The constant companion is a great way of making friendship endearing. I love your post...and the shadow!! Of course, you always make a perfect post.
My shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]
