Skating On Thin Ice

These  robins may want to "rethink" staying in Kansas next winter.

These robins were out on the pond braving the cold (4 degrees at the time), and literally, skating on thin ice!!!   Hope they find a warm place for the night since it will be below zero soon.

Poor little birdies, they would have cold feet skating on the ice. Thanks for sharing your nature photos with us.

Love this. We had a thin layer of ice on the nearby pond. My daughter scared a duck and it flew out and landed on the thin ice. It slipped all over and couldn't get it's footing to fly up. We were so afraid it was going to fall through and not be able to swim... Everything ended up OK...
