I'm not sure what is lovelier, the haiku or the shadow shot. they go along very well and the double meaning of wood is beautiful. you write very well. especially haiku! happy SSS and have a great week Mickie!

I can imagine crossing that bridge eagerly, then plunging into the woods for an adventure!

SHADOW COUNTING

A shadow for one?
What fun, what fun!

A shadow for two—
In black or blue?

A shadow for three?
O my, O me!

A shadow for four?
Ah, mi amour!

A shadow for five?
Coming alive!

A shadow for six?
Light playing tricks!

Mickie you have become a true master of Haiku. And, on top of that, you are a great photographer, too. Keep up the good work. I always look forward to your posts.

Foot bridges are always interesting. They take you from somewhere to somewhere else. Love them - great post.

Love the lines that lead your eye deep into the photo, and the beautiful gray colors. Great shot!

And yes, I make time for baby holding as often as I can :-) He is such a miracle and blessing!

Lovely photo, Mickie, especially seeing the bridge go off in the distance, round a corner and out of sight. It becons, doesn't it?
Have a good week!
PS - love the pink dogwood photo!!

With the great focusing on the bridge's wooden texture, I feel that I am there about to grasp it before crossing over.
