On an Alaskan cruise, we stopped at Ketchikan to see the local sights. There is a beautiful park there that displays totem poles. The totem poles tell stories and honor the traditions of the past. You can also watch skilled craftsman in the process of carving new ones.
And, this was just "one big bear" to cozy up to.

there is something about totem poles that appeales to me. I like them.
I never saw a totem pole with a mini totem figure associated with it. Pretty cool!
I like how they made this Totem pole. For sure there is a meaning to this pole. Thanks for sharing!

You're so lucky to have been on an alaskan cruise! We were booked on one for September 2010, but then of course my husband had to go into hospital in August and September, so it had to be cancelled. Everyone says that the alaskan cruises are awesome, and we really hope we'll get a chance to go soon! Great picture of you and the bear!
the Forgetmenots have started to bloom in Sweden. Did you find any? You wrote you were looking for them.
