A ruby crown, or perhaps a tiara exists in this flower. Real rubies or diamonds sit in the real crown, but are flashy. This crown is subtle, a quiet dignity in style, thus one that truly befits a queen...
I love columbine! Mine are blooming, but I haven't made them pose for my camera yet! This one is lovely, and the poem points to a reason why. Blessings!
You have captured the beauty of this columbine wonderfully! Your stunning words paired with the photo makes for a most lovely post. As always, a joy to view your exceptional blog!
My columbine has not been blooming so I moved it yesterday into a bit more sun. Hope that helps. This one is gorgeous. I wish I could see your yard in person. Thanks for the note today. I appreciate it so much. After 2 weeks out from school, I missed it so much I went back to work for a few day with the scheduling for next year. It is all I have ever known, so I really miss it when I am not there. Bought 2 orchids today at Kroger so will photograph them before I kill them...LOL GENIE

you have the color I did not find this summer. I love that color of the Columbine.
Amazing capture of a favorite flower! And I always see those petals as sweeping skirts too.
